Ridgefield — Ridgefield High School students competed in a food drive against Kalama High School during December and won. Ridgefield collected more than 3,000 canned good items and more than $565. The money was donated to Santa’s Posse, and the food was donated to the North County Community Food Bank.

Because Ridgefield won the contest, Ridgefield Vice Principal Nathan Plummer will have to “Rock a Mohawk.” His head will be shaved during an assembly Jan. 19.

The vice principal of Kalama High School, Ryan Greene, will wear a Spudder jersey for a week and have an RHS henna tattoo on his arm — the consequences of losing.
