Saint Joseph’s defeats Fordham 80-62

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Langston Galloway tied his career high with 30 points and Saint Joseph’s defeated Fordham 80-62 on Wednesday night.

The Hawks made 12 of 24 from 3-point range and Galloway led the charge by making 7 of 9 from long distance. Saint Joseph’s (12-5, 2-1 Atlantic-10 Conference), shot 49 percent (25 of 51) from the field.

C.J. Aiken added 15 points, Carl Jones had 11 and Ronald Roberts grabbed 12 rebounds for the Hawks, who have won seven of their past nine games and surpassed last year’s win total.

The Hawks blocked 10 shots, including six by Aiken, which is nearly two above his average.

Saint Joseph’s built its biggest lead at 50-31 with 13:47 remaining in the game after a layup and foul shot by Galloway. Fordham could draw no closer than nine points the rest of the way.

Branden Frazier scored 22 points to lead the Rams (7-9, 0-3).
