Fraley, Austin Peay defeat Eastern Kentucky 80-65

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — John Fraley scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Austin Peay shot a season-best 60.4 percent to defeat Eastern Kentucky 80-65 Thursday night, snapping a four-game skid.

The Governors (4-13, 1-3 Ohio Valley Conference) also ended their longest losing streak (0-3) to open league play since 1992-93.

Melvin Baker added 16 points for Austin Peay, which made 29 of 48 field goals and used a huge 25-2 run in the second half to defeat the Colonels (10-8, 4-2) for the eighth straight time at home.

Eastern Kentucky won 67-65 in on Dec. 29 in Richmond, Ky.

Austin Peay led most of the game, with the Colonels ahead only at 3-2 and 49-48 with 12:21 remaining. The Governors then scored 25 of the next 27 points to put the game out of reach.

Jaron Jones led Eastern Kentucky, which was 0-for-5 from the foul line, with 17 points.
