ABERDEEN, Wash. (AP) — Two women in the Aberdeen Jail tried to con their jailers into a trip to the hospital, when one inmate asked the other to hit her with a cribbage board.

Police Capt. John Green told KBKW surveillance video revealed that when that didn’t work Wednesday evening one inmate hit herself with the cribbage board and pretended to have convulsions in the shower. The other inmate told guards she had fallen.

When responders found no real injuries, corrections officers went to video and discovered the scheme. The two cribbage players now face false-reporting charges.
