PeaceHealth Southwest plans wellness event

Ridgefield — PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center is offering a community wellness event this weekend to get the new year started on a healthy note.
The free event — 2012 New Year, New You — is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, 17402 N.E. Delfel Road.
The event will include free screenings for blood pressure and blood glucose, bone density and lower extremity circulation. Non-fasting cholesterol tests are available for $25.
Experts will speak about food as medicine, sleep, pain management and living with chronic conditions, plastic surgery, medical spa and varicose veins.
