North Dakota State rolls past South Dakota 82-59

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Taylor Braun scored 16 points, Jordan Aaberg added career highs of 15 points and 11 rebounds off the bench, and North Dakota State continued its hot start with an 82-59 victory Saturday night over South Dakota.

Aaberg scored 13 of his 15 in the second half. Marshall Bjorklund chipped in 12 points and TrayVonn Wright had 10 for the Bison (13-4, 6-2 Summit), who were 34 of 67 (51 percent) from the field — just above their average of 50.4 percent, fifth-best in the nation.

Trevor Gruis led the Coyotes (6-11, 1-7) with 15 points, and Jordan Boots scored 13. South Dakota struggled on offense, going 19 of 61 (31 percent) from the field.

The Coyotes were within 32-27 at halftime, but NDSU opened the second half with a 20-3 run and led by as many as 32.

The game was the first between the schools since the 2003-04 season.
