UC Santa Barbara beats UC Irvine 74-56

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) — Orlando Johnson scored 15 points and Alan Williams had 13 rebounds and four blocked shots as UC Santa Barbara defeated UC Irvine 74-56 Saturday night.

Keegan Hornbuckle had 14 points and James Nunnally scored 11, and both also contributed four steals for the Gauchos (8-6, 3-1 Big West), who have won three of their last four. Nunnally had nine rebounds and six assists and Williams also had nine points for UC Santa Barbara, which led 38-29 at halftime.

The Gauchos shot 45 percent from the field while UC Irvine made only 33 percent of its outside shots.

Travis Souza led the Anteaters (6-12, 3-3) with 15 points. Michael Wilder added 11 points for UC Irvine.
