Smith gives Lipscomb 104-103 OT win over Stetson

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Damarius Smith made a 3-pointer with 3 seconds left in overtime to give Lipscomb a 104-103 win over Stetson on Monday night.

Smith scored just two other points in the game, but his only 3-pointer counted as the Bison (9-10, 4-3 Atlantic Sun Conference) were 7 of 10 from the field in the extra period.

Jordan Burgason scored 24 points, Jacob Arnett 22 and Zavion Williams 20 for Lipscomb. Justin Glenn added 12 points and 13 rebounds as Lipscomb outscored Stetson 32-19 off the bench.

The Bison tied it for the 13th time after on Glenn’s tip-in of a missed 3-pointer by Burgason. Stetson then took a brief lead on Aaron Graham’s two free throws with 7 seconds left, setting up Smith’s heroics.

Adam Pegg, who made two free throws with 1 second left to send it into overtime, led Stetson (7-11, 4-4) with 28 points and 14 rebounds.
