Sollazzo lifts ETSU over North Florida 64-63

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Adam Sollazzo scored 21 points, including the go-ahead free throw with 2.4 seconds left that lifted East Tennessee State over North Florida 64-63 on Monday night.

Sollazzo missed his second free throw and North Florida got the rebound but couldn’t score.

The Buccaneers (10-7, 5-2 Atlantic Sun Conference), who trailed 34-23 after shooting 31.3 percent (10 of 32) in the first half, improved to 68 percent (17 of 25) in the second half.

Sollazzo scored 19 second-half points, including 12 during a 24-9 surge that gave ETSU a 57-52 lead with 4:03 remaining. He made 9 of 11 shots in the half.

Three-pointers by Jerron Granberry, Parker Smith and Matt Sauey pulled the Ospreys (9-11, 3-4) into a 61-61 tie with 1:05 to play.

Isiah Brown added 15 points for ETSU.

Granberry had 14 points, Smith 12 and Travis Wallace had 11 points and 12 rebounds for North Florida.
