SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Police say a fatal stabbing in Spokane appears accidental.
It happened during a Saturday night dispute at an apartment building where a man with a knife had been banging on a locked door, demanding the occupant to come out.
Spokeswoman Jennifer DeRuwe says at some point the door was opened, striking the man with the knife. It caused the blade to cut an artery in the man’s shoulder.
The Spokesman-Review reports (http://is.gd/FJwuFt ) the man bled profusely and collapsed on the sidewalk as he left the building.
