Nevada beats Nebraska-Omaha 81-69

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Malik Story scored 20 points and Nevada defeated Nebraska-Omaha 81-69 on Tuesday night for the Wolf Pack’s 12th consecutive victory.

Olek Czyz had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Dario Hunt 14 points and 11 rebounds for Nevada (15-3).

CJ Carter had 18 points for the Mavericks (7-13), who stayed close until Story sparked a 12-0 run by the Wolf Pack to blow the game open.

A 3-pointer by Carter with 14:18 left pulled the Mavericks within 49-47. Story scored 10 of Nevada’s points in the run, including a pair of 3-pointers, to make it 61-47, and Story hit another 3 to make it 64-49 with 10:13 to play.

Nebraska-Omaha — in the process of making the transition to Division I — couldn’t get any closer than nine points the rest of the way.

The Wolf Pack had a 43-32 advantage on the boards, including 13 offensive rebounds.
