Radford beats High Point 85-66, ends 15-game skid

RADFORD, Va. (AP) — Javonte Green scored a career high 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Radford cruised to an 85-66 win over High Point on Tuesday night, snapping a 15-game losing streak.

The Highlanders (4-16, 1-7 Big South Conference) posted their first win since defeating Central Pennsylvania 78-49 on Nov. 16, 2011.

Radford jumped out to a 20-1 lead and stretched the margin to 32 points before Nick Barbour hit a jumper to make it 45-15 at halftime.

The Panthers (7-11, 3-5) could get no closer than 14 in the second half despite Barbour scoring 30 of his season-high 33 points.

Radford outshot High Point 64.3 percent (27 of 42) to 43.4 percent (23 of 53), with the Panthers shooting 18.2 percent (4 of 22) in the first half.

R.J. Price added 17 points for the Highlanders.

Barbour was 11 of 16 from the field, including 6 of 9 from 3-point range.
