LONDON (AP) — The hearing on Britain’s lifetime Olympic ban for doping cheats will be held in London.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport announced earlier this month the hearing would be held March 12 but did not specify the venue. The British Olympic Association said Wednesday the case would be heard in the British capital.
CAS usually holds hearings at its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, but also goes to London and New York when it is more convenient for both parties.
The BOA filed an appeal to CAS last month, challenging a decision by the World Anti-Doping Agency to declare the British body “noncompliant” with global anti-doping rules.
