Central Park — Gene and Nancy Seidel donated four Persian rugs to Clark College.

The rugs, which are on display in the Cannell Library and the Penguin Student Lounge, were made in Persia in the early 1900s and were originally in Gene Seidel’s childhood home. Seidel worked at Crown Zellerbach in Camas for many years and served on the Clark College Foundation Board of Directors.

The donation to the college’s art collection was made through the Clark College Foundation. The school’s Art Selection Committee selected the display sites for the cultural masterpieces, based on good visibility and protection from handling and sunlight.
