A group of Fruit Valley stakeholders, including residents and representatives from Frito Lay, C-Tran and the Port of Vancouver, will reveal a set of recommendations for Fruit Valley next month.

The public meeting will be 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Fruit Valley Community Center, 3201 Unander Ave.

The recommendations will chart a course for improving the neighborhood, according to a news release issued Tuesday by the Vancouver Housing Authority.

The neighborhood will work with the private and public sectors to address a range of shortcomings such as a lack of a grocery store. The neighborhood has been working with the Vancouver Police Department on curbing crime in the area.

Dinner, child care and translation services will be provided for those who RSVP to Amanda Lawrence at alawrence@vhausa.com or 360-993-9572.
