ALBANY, Ore. (AP) -- Rescuers have recovered the body of a child from an Albany creek where a car was swept away Wednesday evening from a grocery store parking lot.
Fire Department spokeswoman Wanda Omdahl says the search continues Thursday for a missing adult.
Omdahl says another child and a man were rescued Wednesday night, and the child has been taken to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland.
Omdahl says Periwinkle Creek flooded from Wednesday's heavy rain and took the car from the parking lot of Mega Foods about 7 p.m.
