GEORGE, South Africa (AP) — South Africa’s Branden Grace moved closer to a second straight victory, taking a four-stroke lead after Friday’s second round of the Volvo Golf Champions.

Grace captured last week’s Joburg Open for his first European Tour victory.

He shot a 7-under 66, leaving him at 12-under 134 total at The Links at Fancourt. South Africa’s Thomas Aiken (70) and England’s Lee Slattery (65) are at 8 under. European Ryder Cup captain Jose Maria Olazabal shot a 68 and pulled into contention at 7 under.

Grace birdied four of his first six holes and made his only bogey on the seventh hole. After a birdie at the 10th he made three consecutive birdies from the 14th.
