Central Connecticut State beats Bryant 69-51

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Ken Horton and Kyle Vinales each scored 18 points to lead Central Connecticut State to a 69-51 win over Bryant on Thursday night.

Horton also grabbed 11 rebounds for his 25th career double-double. Horton made 8 of 13 field goal attempts as the Blue Devils (9-8, 6-1 Northeast Conference) shot 44.3 percent (27 of 61) from the field. Joe Efese came off the bench to score 10 points for the Blue Devils, who swept the season series against Bryant.

A 16-2 run in the first half gave the Blue Devils a 27-9 lead before Bryant cut the deficit to 31-20 at halftime. The Blue Devils led by at least eight the entire second half and held a 67-47 cushion with 5:32 to play.

Alex Francis scored 13 points, Dan Calandrillo added 12 and Frankie Dobbs had 10 for the Bulldogs (2-16, 1-6), who tied their season-low in scoring.
