Letter: Say no to same-sex marriage

The Columbian
Published: January 18, 2012, 4:00pm

I protest that our legislative officials want to call the unions of same-sex couples a marriage.

God ordained marriage, as joining a man and a woman in holy matrimony.

You can give these people the same rights and call it a “civil union.” Calling a union between same-sex couples a marriage would be an abomination to our Lord God Jehovah, and to all of us who know and believe that the Bible is the holy and inspired word of God.

Do the right thing. Give them full rights any married couple has, but find a better word for it than “marriage.”
