SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) -- Spokane tied a record with 6 inches of snow on Thursday, and more is forecast to come.
Other records were set Thursday with 6 inches in Ritzville and 5.3 inches in Wenatchee.
The Spokane school district was closed on Friday, as were the city's community colleges. Gonzaga University opened Friday, along with Washington State University's Pullman and Spokane campuses.
Spokane remains under a Stage 2 Snow Declaration, which means city crews will work 24 hours a day to remove snow.
