NEW YORK (AP) — Jets coach Rex Ryan says his Super Bowl guarantees might have added pressure on his players, and if “it’s Super Bowl or bust, we busted.”

Ryan tells WFAN Radio on Friday that he wants to be a great coach but is “absolutely not there yet.” He says he drove by MetLife Stadium during the Giants’ playoff-opening win against Atlanta two weeks ago to motivate himself to get the Jets back on track.

The Jets lost their last three games to finish 8-8 and out of the playoffs after two straight trips to the AFC championship game.

Ryan says LaDainian Tomlinson may have overstated the amount of tension among the players, saying, “I think it was an isolated incident. I don’t think it was pervasive throughout the locker room.”
