PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Cody Doolin scored 15 points, including two free throws with 17 seconds left, as San Francisco squeaked past Portland 72-71 on Saturday.

Cole Dickerson had 13 points, Angelo Caloiaro 12 and Rashad Green 11 for the Dons (13-9, 3-5 West Coast).

Kevin Bailey scored 13 and Thomas van der Mars 12 for the Pilots (5-15, 2-5), who lost their fourth straight.

The Dons used a 9-0 run to forge a 43-43 tie with 14:46 left. After two free throws by Ryan Nicholas, the Dons answered with a 10-0 burst, including eight points by Dominique O’Connor, to lead 53-45.

Tanner Riley’s 3-pointer cut it to 69-67 with 37 seconds remaining. After Green’s free throw, van der Mars’ layup made it 70-69 with 21 seconds left.

Portland was then forced to foul, and Doolin’s foul shots pushed the lead back to three.
