MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Art Steward scored 20 points and Montana shot 65 percent from the field en route to an 85-56 victory over Sacramento State on Saturday night.
Steward made 9 of his 10 shots as the Grizzlies (13-6, 6-1 Big Sky) won for the eighth time in nine games. Montana was 28 for 43 from the field and hit 24 of 29 free-throw attempts.
Mathias Ward added 16 points for the Grizzlies; Kareem Jamar and Will Cherry had 12 each.
Heath Hoffman had 12 points and Konner Veteto 11 for Sacramento State (5-13, 0-7), which lost its eighth straight game.
Montana led 43-29 at halftime and opened the second half with a 10-1 run to turn it into a rout. The Grizzlies led by as many as 32 points in the closing minutes.
