Wofford rallies to beat Furman 79-72

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Kevin Giltner scored 26 points and Brad Loesing had 21, leading Wofford to a 79-72 win over Furman on Saturday.

The Terriers (12-8, 5-3 Southern Conference) made 51 percent (25 of 49) of their field goal attempts and Drew Crowell, who scored 12 points, was 6 for 6. Karl Cochran added 11 points for Wofford, which have won six of the past seven games in the series.

Wofford also was hot from the free throw line, making 21 of 25 attempts. Loesing was 11 of 13 for the Terriers while Furman attempted only 11 foul shots, making seven.

The Terriers outrebounded Furman 35-17 and outscored the Paladins 20-11 on second-chance points.

After overcoming an 11-point deficit in the first half, Wofford went on a 17-5 run to lead 71-59 with 4:16 remaining in the game.

Brandon Sebirumbi scored 18 points and Charlie Reddick added 14 for the Paladins (9-10, 3-5).
