New Hampshire keeps Binghamton winless 64-49

VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) — Chandler Rhoads scored 19 points and Ferg Myrick 18 as New Hampshire defeated Binghamton 64-49 Sunday, extending the Bearcats’ winless streak to 20 games.

After the America East Conference game was tied for the sixth and final time, 21-21, with 5:25 remaining in the first half, Myrick scored six points during a 10-0 run by the Wildcats (7-11, 2-5), who went on to lead 33-23 at halftime.

The Bearcats (0-19, 0-7), who lost their final game last season, got as close as five points, 45-40, in the second half before New Hampshire put the game away with a 16-5 run that included a four-point play by Rhoads, who added a free throw after a 3-pointer.

Alvin Abreu scored 12 points for New Hampshire, and Myrick grabbed eight rebounds.

Robert Mansell scored 17 points to lead Binghamton, which has not scored more than 61 points in any of its conference games.
