PASCO, Wash. (AP) — A state psychologist says a Pasco woman accused of killing her 58-year-old mother is feigning symptoms of mental illness.

Tashia Stuart was evaluated at Eastern State Hospital in December to determine whether she is competent to stand trial. She is charged with first-degree murder in the March 3 fatal shooting of Judy Hebert.

According to the Tri-City Herald (http://bit.ly/x4qQzu ), psychologist Randall Strandquist wrote in a report to the Franklin County Superior Court that “Stuart is portraying herself to be cognitively impaired, but she is not.”

Stuart’s trial date was stricken pending the evaluation. Her review hearing was canceled last week because of the weather. It has not been rescheduled.
