OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Washington State University boosters say their special license plate already outsells plates for other universities in the state, and now it looks even more distinctive.
The Cougar plates on sale this week are all crimson with silvery white numbers and letters with the Cougar logo. Sales from the plate benefit a scholarship program.
The state Department of Licensing offers drivers 45 special plates to help support causes and organizations, including seven for universities in Washington — WSU, UW, WWU, CWU, EWU, Gonzaga, and Evergreen.
