Rockefeller impostor ordered to stand trial

ALHAMBRA, Calif. (AP) -- A German immigrant who masqueraded as a Rockefeller has been ordered to stand trial in the cold-case murder of his Southern California landlord's son.

Christian Gerhartsreiter (GAYR'-hartz-ry-tur) showed no reaction as a judge pronounced there was sufficient evidence to hold him for trial.

The judge set bail at $10 million and ordered an arraignment Feb. 9.

Gerhartsreiter is accused of killing 27-year old John Sohus, who rented him a cottage on his family's property in the wealthy Los Angeles suburb of San Marino in the 1980s.
