Suspected prowler killed at La Center WA home

LA CENTER, Wash. (AP) -- The Clark County sheriff's office has identified a 29-year-old man fatally shot by a La Center, Wash., homeowner.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances of the shooting early Tuesday. Deputies were responding to a report of a prowler when the homeowner called 911 to say he had shot a man outside his home.
The sheriff's office says the homeowner didn't know the man who was shot.
The dead man was identified as Barry Parnel of Vancouver. He died at a Vancouver hospital.
The homeowner was identified as 59-year-old Leland Larsen.
Sgt. Fred Neiman says no one has been arrested. It wasn't clear how the homeowner became aware of the suspect.
