PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An audience of several hundred is expected at a Portland Airport hotel conference room Wednesday night to hear from three people who challenge the idea that human activities are a major contributor to climate change.

The Oregon chapter of the American Meteorological Society is sponsoring the meeting to hear from global warming skeptics.

The president of the chapter, Steve Pierce, told The Oregonian (http://is.gd/mKCNIa) its members are split 50-50 on whether humans cause climate change.
