MILWAUKIE, Ore. (AP) — A natural gas leak has prompted officials to evacuate four homes in the south Portland suburb of Milwaukie.
Clackamas Fire District 1 spokesman Steve McAdoo says fire crews and a natural gas utility crew responded to the home Tuesday night.
A transit bus was called in to provide the residents with temporary shelter.
McAdoo tells The Oregonian it could take some time to identify what caused the high levels of gas and air out the house. He called it a “near-explosive level” of gas.
