UK police arrest 97 for London Olympic fraud

LONDON (AP) -- A top British official says almost 100 people have been arrested for illegally selling tickets and bogus hotel rooms for the 2012 London Olympics.

Home Secretary Theresa May said Wednesday that U.K. police had arrested 97 organized criminals accused of touting tickets, setting up fake websites and selling fake hotel rooms.

May also says all tents and encampments will be banned from Olympic venues. Anti-capitalist protesters have set up camps around central London and have refused to move. May says security measures will stop anyone from taking tents into Olympic venues.
