Clark County will auction at least 53 properties in property tax foreclosure next week, Doug Lasher, county treasurer, said Wednesday.

The foreclosure auction, which includes properties where owners are at least three years delinquent on taxes, is set for 9 a.m. Feb. 3 in the sixth-floor hearing room at the Clark County Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver.

In a written announcement, Lasher said the foreclosure sale would include 53 properties delinquent “as of January 20, 2012.” However, he said properties could be taken off the list as owners bring property tax bills current, and other sites could be added to the list.

Bidders must preregister. A foreclosure property list is on the Clark County Treasurer’s website and at the treasurer’s office at 1300 Franklin St., second floor. All transactions must be conducted with cash, a cashier’s check or money order at the time of purchase. Personal or business checks will not be accepted.

Preregistration will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Jan. 30-31; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 1; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 2 and 8 a.m.-9 a.m. Feb. 3 at the treasurer’s office.
