Foster children benefit from community generosity

VanMall — More than 39,000 items were collected for foster children in the Portland-Clark County area by Sleep Country USA. Bridge the Gap received more than 7,800 of these donations during 2011. Donations help local foster children and their families replace worn-out clothes and shoes, attend summer camps, receive tutoring and counseling, and participate in extracurricular activities such as playing sports.
