VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -- The U.S. soccer team goalkeeper Hope Solo was back on the practice field Thursday, one day before the game that will determine whether the Americans go to the Olympics.
Solo pulled her right quadriceps during a workout Sunday and aggravated it during Tuesday's game against Mexico.
She had her right thigh heavily wrapped by a trainer Thursday before taking the field, where she worked through routine footwork, catching and stretching drills. She leaned forward and grimaced shortly after making a diving save to her right, then stopped to have the thigh wrap removed a few minutes later.
The heavily favored U.S. team plays Costa Rica on Friday in Vancouver, British Columbia, to determine one of two Olympic berths from the CONCACAF region.
