FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Tyler Murray scored 21 points, hitting 7 of 9 from long range, to lead Wagner over Sacred Heart 73-54 on Thursday night.

Jonathon Williams added 14 points and Latif Rivers 10 for the Seahawks (16-4, 7-2 Northeast Conference), who opened the game on an 18-5 run and never looked back. Murray hit two 3-pointers during the spree and a trio of long balls in the opening half.

Wagner led 35-28 at intermission and outscored Sacred Heart 38-26 in the second half to seal it.

The Seahawks outshot the Pioneers 52.4 percent (11 of 21) compared to just a 15 percent clip (3 of 20) from beyond the arc.

Shane Gibson led Sacred Heart (10-12, 4-5) with 20 points.

Wagner got back on the winning track after a loss in its previous game snapped a season-high eight game streak of victories. Sacred Heart had won two straight coming in.
