HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut guard Ryan Boatright has been cleared to return to action after a second NCAA investigation this season into his eligibility.

UConn made the announcement Saturday, without detailing the findings of the investigation.

The freshman served a six-game suspension at the start of the season the season because of an infraction that involved the acceptance of a plane ticket while he was playing AAU basketball.

He averaged more than 10 points and three assists in the 10 games he played.

Connecticut was forced to again bench Boatright on Jan. 13 after the NCAA informed the school of another investigation into events that occurred before the guard became involved with UConn.

The No. 24 Huskies (14-5) went 1-2 in the three games he has missed since then.
