NEW YORK (AP) — Branden Frazier scored 20 points, Chris Gaston had 14 of his 16 in the second half and Fordham bounced back from two blowout road losses with a 63-58 victory over George Washington on Saturday.

The Rams (9-11, 2-5 Atlantic 10) lost their last two games — at St. Bonaventure and Richmond — by 44 points each.

Tony Taylor had 17 points and seven assists for the Colonials (8-13, 3-4), who were outrebounded 44-24.

George Washington went on an 8-0 run to tie the game for the first time at 51 with 3:53 to play. Fordham, which led by as many as 11, went back ahead before the Colonials scored the next four points — the last two on a jumper by Lasan Kronah with 2:08 left — for their only lead of the game.

Devon McMillan tied it for Fordham on a drive with 1:52 left and Gaston gave the Rams the lead for good with two free throws with 53 seconds to play.

Fordham, which came into the game last in the 14-team conference in free throw shooting at 61.8 percent, made eight of 10 from the line in the final minute to offset a 3-pointer by Kronah.

The Rams, who had lost five of six, improved to 8-2 at home this season.
