Man shot, killed by police in Fairview

FAIRVIEW, Ore. (AP) -- Police in Fairview say an officer shot and killed a man who brandished a knife.
The 37-year-old man died at the scene. He has not been identified.
Fairview police officers and Multnomah County sheriff's deputies were responding to a report of a disturbance at an apartment complex Friday night.
Authorities say the officers involved are on administrative leave, a standard procedure.
