CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson forward Milton Jennings has been suspended by coach Brad Brownell for academic reasons.

Brownell announced the indefinite suspension Monday night. Jennings did not travel with the Tigers, who play at No. 16 Virginia on Tuesday night. Brownell said he suspended Jennings for failure to comply with the team’s academic standards.

Jennings was also suspended for the team’s loss to Hawaii at the Diamond Head Classic after he yelled at Brownell the previous game. Jennings apologized for his outburst and returned to the lineup.

Jennings is a 6-foot-9 junior who has started 15 games this season. He’s averaging career highs with 8.9 points and 5.4 rebounds this season. He is fourth in team scoring and second behind Devin Booker in rebounds.
