PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A juvenile court judge decided Monday that an 11-year-old boy who flashed a gun on a MAX train in Portland last week will wear and electronic monitoring device and live with his aunt.
KATU reports (http://is.gd/5QAgFx ) the boy is the brother of Yashanee Vaughn, a 14-year-old who was killed last year.
His mother told the judge she’s dealing with grief and that the aunt could provide more structure for her son.
The state is certifying the aunt as a foster parent.
