Smith leads Lipscomb over Jacksonville 82-68

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Malcolm Smith scored 21 points to lead Lipscomb over Jacksonville 82-68 on Monday night in an Atlantic Sun Conference matchup.

Smith was 6 of 10 form the field and 9 of 11 from the free-throw line as the Bison (11-12, 6-5) snapped a two-game skid.

Lipscomb shot 51.9 percent from the field (27 of 52) and led 42-27 at halftime.

Jordan Burgason scored 16 points, going 4 of 7 from 3-point range, and Jacob Arnett added 15 for the Bison.

Jacksonville was led by Russell Powell with 18 points. Aloys Cabell added 15 points and Glenn Powell and Tevin Galvin chipped in 10 each for the Dolphins (4-18, 2-9).

Jacksonville shot 40.6 percent from the field (26 of 64) but struggled both in getting to the free-throw line and making shots from there. The Dolphins were 8 of 19 from the foul line (42.1 percent) in their third straight loss.
