The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington received an $8,000 grant from Kaiser Permanente Northwest to fund urgent medical care clinics.
The grant will allow the Free Clinic to operate 10 half-day urgent care clinics in 2012.
“Thanks to Kaiser Permanente, our volunteer physicians and caregivers will be able to provide 300 patient visits and the necessary medications, laboratory tests and x-rays for individuals who are currently without health insurance,” said Barbe West, executive director of the Free Clinic.
