OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Amanda Chidester hit a grand slam, Chelsea Thomas allowed two hits in a five-inning shutout and the United States completed a perfect run through round-robin play at the World Cup of Softball by beating Brazil 9-0 on Sunday.

It was the second straight run-rule victory for the Americans (5-0), who advance to face either Australia or the Netherlands in the championship game on Monday night.

Leles had a two-run single in a five-run first inning, and Thomas (2-0) struck out nine while allowing only a pair of infield singles by Hellen Chie Ikehara and Vivian Morimoto.

Valerie Arioto, who had homered in her previous three games, also walked to force in a run and Molly Johnson had an RBI single for Team USA.
