Letter: Support mental-health employees

The Columbian
Published: June 30, 2012, 5:00pm

Reading the June 27 Columbian story “3 counties consolidate mental health programs,” pertaining to consolidation to form the Southwest Washington Behavioral Health Regional Support Network, I certainly hope that Clark County Administrator Bill Barron is right and that no existing employee will be out of a job. It would only seem fair if the existing employees would be able to continue at their positions and be able to retain their current benefits. Hopefully, our Clark County commissioners will have some input and support the current employees and their benefit packages.
