COUGAR — Gifford Pinchot National Forest road No. 25 connecting Cougar and Randle is open.

The Forest Service said on Tuesday that road No. 99 to Windy Ridge on the east side of Mount St. Helens remains closed due to snow.

The replacement of the Benham Creek Bridge at the north end of road No. 25 is complete and crews have removed the lingering snow near Elk Pass.

Road No. 25 is the main north-south link through the Gifford Pinchot. Road No. 23 from Trout Lake to Randle remains closed by snow at Baby Shoe Pass.
