Oregon man's thumb blown off in fireworks accident

PORTLAND — A Tualatin, Ore., man's right thumb was blown off Sunday when the fuse on his fireworks burned faster than he expected and it went off in his hand.
Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue rushed 27-year-old Curtis Januik to Legacy Emanuel Medial Center, where his thumb was re-attached. He's reported in fair condition
KGW reports he told the Washington County sheriff's office that he bought the fireworks in Vancouver.
