Letter: Arrogance of Congress is shameful

The Columbian
Published: July 2, 2012, 5:00pm

Regarding the vote of contempt of Congress against U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, I am especially dismayed by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and her minions walking out on the vote. Their arrogant attitude is saying to the family of border patrol agent Brian Terry that we don’t care about you or your son. Walking out like they did shows us that they feel that, no matter the issue, they are more important than the people they are supposed to serve.

Some Democrats as well as Republicans have an attitude of we know what is best for you. You as an individual do not count. Shameful. Someday, these individuals will meet their maker and will have to answer for their actions or lack of actions.
