Sex offender update

Sheriff's deputies say a high-risk sex offender who has targeted women and young girls is now transient in the Vancouver area.
Robert Earl Ferguson, 42, is classified as a Level 3 sex offender, the group considered most likely to commit new sex crimes, according to a sheriff's office bulletin. He is not wanted by police at this time.
In 1992, Ferguson was convicted of second-degree rape of a 13-year-old girl in Oregon. He was also convicted in Oregon and Clark County for hiding in a women's locker room to watch women undress; public indecency; fourth-degree assault; failure to register as a sex offender; hiding in a stall in the women's restroom at Wintler Park; exposing himself to a 11-year-old girl at Westfield Vancouver mall; and voyeurism.
Ferguson is white, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 220 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He is known to drive a white, four-door 1989 Mercedes 300. Ferguson is monitored by the sheriff's office and Vancouver police.
