NEW YORK (AP) — A woman charged with extorting thousands of dollars from New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman has raised money for bond after five months in jail. But prosecutors are raising questions, and it’s unclear when she might be released.

The Manhattan district attorney’s office claimed Tuesday the bond money might be the result of Louise Neathway shaking down someone else — her mother.

Neathway’s mother, Caroline Meanwell, vehemently denies it.

Prosecutors say Neathway stalked Cashman and got him to pay her $6,000 by threatening to damage his reputation.

The 36-year-old Neathway has pleaded not guilty. She says they had a consensual nine-month affair.

She’s being held on $300,000 bond.

Neathway’s bond plan was submitted to prosecutors Thursday. The prosecutors are reviewing it and deciding whether to make objections.
